Bad Civic Day

Last Tuesday was a really bad day for me and my Civic. I was working is Slough (which is bad enough!) and was inches away from totalling the car as someone pulled out in front of me.

In the evening, went into Windsor for dinner and drove into the Castle Car Park. I turned left a little too early as I entered and drove over some kerb stones they have sticking out only to hear a large crunch as the underside of the car hit the stone, followed by a horrible grinding as I reversed off it.
Looking at the stone, it seems as though is done regularly.

After coming back from dinner I found my car clamped. I had gone 15 minutes over on my parking ticket at 9.00 at night, and it cost me £120 to get it released.

Hopefully it is true that things happen in 3's and that is my lot for a while

Apart the financial loss you got off lightly there.

I reckon your guarding angel was hanging around then.

I (& Millie) nearly got flattened the other day when an Ambulance, with lights and siren playing, pulled out from behind a slow moving trucker and decided to take the bit of road that I was on coming from the other direction.

Luckily, I reckon, ABS and VSA worked in conjunction with my lightning reactions and we didn't end up IN the Ambulance!

......cleared up the mess on the carpet later!

I know just the place you're talking about and I'm sorry to hear about your various problems.
I parked in that Windsor car park a few years ago and saw 2 cars beach on these kerbs in as many minutes. I can't believe they're still there!!!!!!
Sue the buttocks off the Council or whoever owns that car park for your damage.
