75 minutes and counting
Other than the fact that it looks like the heavens will open on the stroke of 4pm I can't wait. I've spent the last couple of days rehearsing the voice commands

Wash your mouth out ! Despite the fact that I had the additional external/internal protection that's what a once a fortnight home valet is for, or if really desperate there's a place close by that'll do a decent enough job inside and out - no brushes. I have a Honda cleaning kit for sale Couldn't really do a great deal last night due to the weather but it's had the full treatment today. Yay ! I've pretty much worked out all of the voice controls, sat nav, computer dual climate, audio etc, the HFT was a piece of cake and all the configurations are now set to my tastes. Had great fun with some of the voice commands doing completely different things to the request. First impressions with just 50 miles on the clock are fantastic. I'd love to compare it with the Subaru but you can't really compare apples and pears ). It knocks spots off the Scooby for comfort, style, controls, extras and the drive performance is more than adequate. A little bit hairy cornering at high speed but nothing untoward. Obviously it can't compete on speed, acceleration, cornering, handling etc with the Scoob but my boy racing days are over and I'm more than happy with the compromise. Best thing of all is that the Scoob was a fantastic car when I got the first one six years back. It's now turned into the new chav Golf Gti with affordable older models of £4K available attracting the baseball cap buffoon brigade and driving the world barmy. Not many Civics around this neck of the woods and I guess it'll be years before the Chavs can get their grubby mitts on them without nicking them. |
