Are we common yet?
Hi Guys,
So as a mobile engineer, i see a lot of cars through my travels, and am starting to see quite a few new Civs. Do you think we're getting to that dangerous 'common' status or do you think we're still rare enough to be a dangerous little cult? Talking in advance of course.... T-minus 57h 56m till my baby arrives! |

The Civic will never be 'common'
Just delight in the fact that many people have an extremely good eye for a good motor car. |

No, don´t worry old chap, we will never be "common".
There will perhaps more of us, but we shall never be "common". Any idea of how many % av new car sales that are Civics in the UK? Here it is 0,42% and we also have a very old average age of cars compared to other european countires so impact on total population is very low. And around my parts I hardly ever see any. Think I have seen less than 10 on the road ever, excl the demo cars I have driven. I think the sales are picking up, especially as the Civic (both 1,8 and Type-R) have been the test winners in motor magazines. Last edited by FWH; 29th July 2007 at 07:47. Reason: added more text |

I have connections with Swindon, having lived there in the past (actually worked very close to where the Honda site is now) and visit the town from time-to-time. Well, not unaturally, Civics really are 'quite common' there. Saw more yesterday just around the centre than I see in a whole week elsewhere, so I guess it depends a bit on location too.
