I had one, it was a very nice car, the exterior was very nice i had the dynmic + kit on it.. the inside was a little spartan for my liking but i wouldve loved to have the gt nav in it, would have made a big difference.

performance wise it really wasnt anywhere near as bad as people saym, keep it in sports mode and 0-60 was about 8 seconds (traction control off) talking about the traction control- it was god awful, the amount of times i had clenched buttocks at a roundabout when i wanted to just scoot out and the TC would basically drop all power :/

fuel consumption was quite good really, around town with me flooring it most of the time still returned about 38mpg and on a motorway trip would get about 50 if i was lucky.

all in all it was a nice car, reaaaalllyyy nice to look at, performance wasnt too bad and the handling was brilliant very go-cart like. downsides... i only ever fit 4 people in it once and never again... its a two seater, 3 at an absolute push. the interior could do with a bit more about it and the road noise defintely needs improving as it was a little loud.

What phaat panda said is all true
its a 2 seater, the back seats are in there just for insurance reasons, the guys in america dont even have back seats.

My problems are the start button being on the left instead of the right like the civic.
Also I think depending on your seating position and the level of the steering wheel, you will probably miss the speedo.

But road noise? Simples solution like every other rattle and noise, just turn the music up haha

I still love mine even though it has its faults, £20 tax a year, im not driving it for the economy and saving petrol but still get no less than 36mpg no matter what way I drive it.

Styling wise, there are a lot of options of bodykits and parts to change any panel to your liking, I have a book called Hyper Revs which has a lottttttttttt of things in it for the CRZ you can take your pick

I really like the CRZ, it looks really nice and I love the interior.

I would've had one with the mugen kit (supercharged) instead of my type r if it had rear seats, that was the only downfall for me and quite a big one.

I will always admit though, the engine really lets the looks of the car down, but I still love it

Very rare on the roads still and turns heads still.

Gf has one and its great car to drive, driving positon is low compared to my R like a go kart imo the crz is a good car even though its a strick two seater and is quick just needs a wee bit more power.

I'm sorry but to say it feels nippy is one thing to but to make a claim like that is another.

The Honda website quotes 9.9 seconds to 62mph:

Honda CR-Z Hybrid | Book Test Drive | Specification, Finance & Information

Given that manufacturers usually tharsh the life out of cars with racing drivers doing the gear changes its rare you can even equal the manufacturers time never mind beat it by 2 seconds.

I think a little exaggeration in your post.

we had one and will say over 9 months of ownership and 8k we average 46MPG, on a run cruise control and eco 50mph you get 60mpg al day long but increase the speed to 70mph and you will be looking at 53-54mpg.

We sold ours due to the birth of Lewis and lack of rear seating space but can honestly say one of the best cars we have ever owned and it had been 12" longer (for rear leg room) we would still have it.

I doubt it we had a Auris T180 and Toyota quote 8.8sec I think and will tell you for sure the CRZ would thrash it my guess real world is around 8 seconds and yes we have owned a CRZ and think I read some where that a CRZ is 8.2sec

lol feel free not to believe me. BUT the test of 0-60 had to be done in normal mode and with the TC on... this matter has been discussed to death on the CRZ forum and the outcome is that its alot quicker than people think. Its not like im even bigging up my car as ive got rid of it... i tested it a good few times with different methods of timing and alot were around the 8 second mark. Feel free to mock.'

and NeoFlare- the squeeks mustve only been in the GT nav version or its heny and henryetta in the back going at it..

I'm not going to mock, it just didn't seem plausible as its so far from the quoted figure but if everyone is getting 8 secs then 8 secs it must be.

Wonder what the Mugen version actually does it in then?

sorry i got a little irate there! apologies, basically as part of the rules etc honda had to quote the 0-60 with the TC on and in normal mode; just the TC alone would stuff up the time haha so it is alot lower than stated

plus its not all about 0-60 else why would anyone go for a CTR over a VXR but thats a different convo altogether haha
