Trolley Jack Leak

Being the lazy sod that I am I bought a trolley jack today and some axle stands for doing my own oil changes.

Trouble is the trolley jack after only 3 or 4 lifts has started to leak, I noticed a small pool of oil under the jack when I moved it. I notice they have a top up point to add more oil in so is this fairly normal or would you recommend taking it back and getting a replacement?

Perish the thought, that the trolly jack gave way when you were placing the axel stands underneath your car. I personaly would not use the jack anymore

Might depend on where it is leaking from. There is a pressure relief screw which you loosen to drop the jack. Could it be that you haven't tightened it before using the jack?
