I will stay on this thread then

My previous car was a Subaru Legacy, so I would hope that the leather was of a reasonable quality.
When the car had been sitting in view of the sun all day cooking, the seats were almost unbearable hot.
The sliding around might have had something to do with the fact the Legacy was a quick car with 4 wheel drive, so it could be driven really quickly around corners with complete confidence. I did notice very quickly after getting the Civic, that cornering speeds were very much lower, so I presume less sliding on the leather

Personnaly I have been used to having leather in all my previous car and never had any particular problem with it (sliding for example). I personnaly wouldn't imagine buying a new car without leather seats now, as long as the leather is of good quality of course.
When I tried the civic I thought the leather interior was good and I didn't sense any inconvenience while test driving.
But it is all a question of personal preferences, I have friends also who like you would never put leather in their car (for the same reason you emphasized).

I've got part leather in my car now and this time was determined to have full leather in a new car I went to just about every car manufacturer going and all the dealers said you'd be hard pushed to find leather these days apparently its going out of fashion now?! When I was first going to change the car I was looking at cars up to 6 months old and there was absolutely nothing available with leather unless I went to another ford.

When I went to the Honda dealer and specified leather he said every other civic they sell has leather these days!
My brother has leather in his vectra, my mum has it in her fiesta and dad in his BMW so I cant understand it. Even BMW said that they dont get so many orders for leather anymore Personally I think it adds a touch of class to a car

In the windows of my local dealer is a profile picture of a cow with "£2500 OFF" written on it. Made me chuckle.

My husband's cars have always had leather and one problem i always found is that the kid's car seats would slide around a bit too much for my liking!!
