I'm Honda happy...!!

Hi All, Just took my Civic in for it's windsreen seal replacement and I spoke to the service receptionist regarding the recalls.

I told her about the fuel cap not opening and my squealing drivers window and now it's all been sorted, squeal free window, spring clip and new windscreen seal fitted. It only took an hour to do... just time for a free coffee and a read at the paper.

Well chuffed..!

Thanks Ayr Honda...!!

That's how it should be - I'm sure non of us would object to most of the issues we have if they were resolved as well as this.

They tried to fix my window with a sort of grease/gel ended up going all over the window! wiped it off everytime I put the window down. Still squeak free though for the moment, hope it lasts for at least 3 more weeks.

Hope you're windscreen trim fits better than mine.
First replacement was not fitted flush with the roof and the new lacquer that was painted on in blobs protruding from the the new trim made my car look like the roof had been painted BADLY. i wouldn't mind so much, but the car only went in for the second fuel filler cap recall and the first i knew about it they had already replaced the trim.
The second replacement trim fitted even worse than the first although they did clear the lacquer off.
i got so fed up with the state of the job i replaced the screen and trim myself, funny enough it now fits.
you cannot replace the trim properly without removing the windscreen!!!!!!!
