fuel filter is at least 40 mins to change maybe anything under an hour is classed as easy? and imo is not for the faint hearted.

remove the battery and air filter which made changing the air filter even easier, then had the fuel filter out in no time.
hardest part was unscrewing the filter as it was tightened quote a bit. pollen filter was really easy too cant believe dealership was going to charge me £400! |

under the hand brake??
the fuel filter on the 2.2 is under the air box i undid the electrical connectors, removed the 12mm bolt holding the carrier to the engine bay, undid the hoses took the carrier out then undid the other 12mm bolts once it was out, refitting was just the reverse, and like i say while the air box was out i just refitted the new filter and bish bash bosh job done! access to the oil filter was much better than other civics ive owned in the past, and made it a doddle. |

Civic Type R FN2 Fuel Filter / Pump Replacement
This one, which is on the FN2 but has a certain level of infamy! Can't see why a dealer would charge so much more for the one in the engine as looks easy enough? |

ah sorry just all the other posters have 2.2's...
the only other fuel filter ive done before was on a mates renault and it was a nightmare compared to the civic. gotta admit my engine feels a bit more free now with the fresh oil. |
