^^ this +1 seriously

also be aware toll roads esp back to ferry ports can clock your time entered and time exited - usually a huge bunch of gendarmes pulling brits over for hefty fines at the exit plaza for speeding.

read up on the new breathalyser law too.

enjoy the driving though - the roads are good and the culture is even better in a lot of places - I've always had a smile on my face when driving france/germany etc.

Also do not use a GPS.
From what i saw on the tomtom website your GPS can not warn you of speed cameras.

if they see the GPS they may think you are being warning about speed cameras.

I've heard of this too, but never saw any camera's when I was driving? I'll be honest, I was driving at the pace of all the rest of the french and made it to/from Bruges in record time and still had no trouble!

After reading this thread though I will defo take more care next time!

Gave the car a quick clean ready for its holiday to France tomorrow. Also gave my mates z4 a proper clean. He thought a bucket and sponge did the job before I got at it tonight!

Both pressure rinsed snow foamed washed with AG shampoo Dried with the woolymamouth. Lots of other bits as well but you get the idea.

The MG is a car I'm fixing up at the moment. Gave that the cleaning treatment on Monday not bad for a £250 motor lol
