Slight accident

Last night I had a slight accident with a kerb and as a result I took some paint off my sill

Not having any spare cash due to my holiday coming up I needed a fix. I had a tin of paint left over from my parking sensors.
I removed the sill and sanded the whole sill, used a can of grey plastic primer in a few coats, sanded and then applied 3 coats of silver alabaster paint and finished with 3 coats of clear lacquer. I will leave it off the car until Monday eve to give it time to set.

No I forgot to take some. It was like a piece about 10"x3" of paint was peeled off. I think the impact flexed the sill and the paint didn't flex enough.

I will get it done next year with my front end re spray.

Sounds like you prepped it and sprayed well, so should look OK... you may have to polish the rest of the car though lol

Gave the car a clean, Jetted down, apc sprayed over, sponged over, rinsed, dryed, Meguiars Deep Crystal System Pack, Car Paint cleaner, Car polish, Carnauba wax. Autoglym glass cleaner and Shine-on Chemicals polish for the plastics.
Sill looks slightly different colour but hopefully it will age in a bit.
