Removing Dried Polish From Plastic
I know this may be a daft question but with all the Trim on my car over the Arches etc whats the best way to get dried wax/polish from it.
For some reason one of the rear Arches has quite a bit on it and it just looks a bit of a mess, I have tried Autoglym vinyl and rubber care but it just wont shift it. Thanks Stu |

I have ordered some of that and was just going to try the Wifes Nail Polish Remover but was told to try a white eraser. So I raided my Daughters pencil case and found one. Good news for anyone with the same problem is it worked a treat, just use it like you would on paper and rub the affected area and it fetches the Polish off straight away Stu |

This might sound daft, but I'm sure I've heard people talk about using peanut butter on the trim. Never tried it myself, but hey.

I think I've heard of peanut butter as well, also wd40 for tar removal? Never tried it though

What I want to know is how someone found this out. Were they just sitting there looking at it thinking'maybe soapy water, maybe acetone, maybe wd40, sod it I'm sure peanut butter would be a comparable alternative' or had they just gone methodically through the condiments until they found something that worked....
I used to use autoglym bumper restorer, brings grey plastics up a treat, that or colmans English mustard.... |
