I don't expect to need to use this method, but if I do I will have to call upon my Grandad's old Y reg Fiesta because nobody else in my family has anything remotley slow.

But that did look very bad indeed. I would have been crying!

Glad its all back good as new

Thanks for the comments. There is one downside however.

I guess we are all used to looking out the window and look at our car parked outside. Nothing new there, been doing that ever since I got it.
But I find myself looking outside even more often now, because I get all creepy if someone even walks past it. I feel paranoid....

Nice weather tomorrow, so I'd better take it for a spin before someone hurts it again

at my work i also look out of the windows to check on my car.
I would be my worst nightmare if i truck/car would drive into my car.
Luckily everything could be fixed and you can drive your beauty again.
And as for swapping cars, drive a 1996 renault twingo and then your civic.
The difference is quite stunning (especially the crap suspension of the twingo )

I'm paranoid about mine too so it's always garaged even when only parking up for ten minutes, and at work it's parked under camera with the monitor in my office.

What made me this way was my ex-neighbours shed roof coming off in high winds and and doing £4000 worth of damage to my last CIV. He cost me 5 years no claims bonus and £250 excess. Had to move house as I couldn't look at him without feeling rage and anger.

I was talking about mothers and sisters. They're a different kind of women. Girlfriends and the ladies on this board are excellent drivers a have a good taste in cars

I know exatly how you feel on this one, my car has just been hit by an un secured load off and LDV truck, needs new front and rear doors on the drivers side.
So Im now driving a 07 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Titanium. while the spaceship is being repaired.
God its a boring car.

Even worse still I've only had my civic since 27th September

Looks familiar. Not a pretty sight. Sure hope they do an equally good job in fixing it like they did with mine.

I really, really would cry! Infact I want to cry for you!

Usually when I see a lorry with a load that don't look too well supported I boot it by them and I will be making sure I keep doing that with the new car.

I would have but, a) couldnt slam on the anchors had a car up my rear end (Ok he shouldn't be that close)
b) was coming up to a sharp bend on a narrow road.

really had no where to go, it was a case of in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sorry to hear about your car but glad she is all repaired and sorted now..

Please dont taint all HGV drivers with the same brush tho as there are a lot of idiots out there regardless of what they drive or don't drive sadly... some youth threw a brick at my car but then I wouldnt say all young teenages are $h!t$.

Screawm I hope you manage to get the repair sorted and she is shiney again

Had a call from the body repair shop, cant remember the exact cost but somewhere in the region of £1300 for the repair.
They've already got most of the parts and the paint, told me they are going to call me tomorrow with an update and an estimated time of completion.

Can't wait, still hate the boring Ford Mondeo courtesy car i've been left with.
