My poor CTR......

We live in a cruel world, full of people that don't know how to drive a car, or truck.

Take a look at this.

Click the image to open in full size.

I just got back from a 2 week trip to France, while I left my car parked in front of my house without problems whatsoever. Yesterday evening I went for a drive (due to the lack of VTEC for 2 weeks), and parked it somewhere else.
This morning some complete idiot with sh#t in his eyes and 2 left hands forgot to check the left side of his truck's ass and pushed in my right side. Even lifted the car over on the sidewalk, so the 2 leftside rims are damaged too. At this time I have zero respect for truck-drivers. This idiot decided to take the least obvious route trough narrow streets, if he'd taken another road the turns would've been less tight. He probably was looking at his satnav instead of using his eyes and brain.

Car's at the dealer now, locked inside since I have no more right window. First estimate is around 9000 euro's damage, which I'm not gonna pay. Luckily I have full ensurance and it wasn't my fault. But it still hurts like hell.

So I'll be spending the next couple of weeks in a 1.4 Jazz

not wanting to add to the bad news, but I'd be getting them to look very carefully at the suspension units and the body alignment

should be fine, but with it being bumped up and over the kerb, best to be sure

Car seemed to drive fine, but the mechanics said the wheels seemed to look a bit out of alignment. They said they'd check it though. I sure hope it's fixable and that there's nothing structurally wrong. If there is I want a brand new one, even if I have to chip in a few bucks, it's only 5 months old for crying out loud.

Worst thing you want in a car like this is to have something go wrong when you least want it. A wheel that comes of in the middle of a 8000 rpm corner is not fun.

I'm getting al kinds of nightmares now.......dam it..

One of the reasons I stick with Honda is not having the visit the dealer so often. So much for that.

Unhappy Woahhhhhh! That Stings!

The worst of it is, when you get it back, no matter if they have repaired it perfectly, there will always be a little nagging doubt that it is as good as it used to be!

Yeah, exactly.

If they accidentally fit a rearscreen-wiper, I bet there's someone over here that'll want to trade

Good Lord that looks nasty!

Such a horrible thing to happen to something so beautiful.

Really hope you get sorted ASAP.

What a nightmare. Hopefully most of the damage is to the door and it has not gone any further.

It may be a good idea to take it to a Honda dealer for repair - they are unlikely to do a bodge repair.

Ouch, I feel really sorry for you. I know how much that must hurt. My first new car got reversed into by my neighbour less than 2 months after getting it. 11 years on and I still have not forgiven her. I hope you get it sorted soon and to your satisfaction.

I am impressed that you weren't arrested for GBH or something on the lorry driver - well done for your patience!

I am sorry about your car and hope that it isn't out of action for long.

How unlucky can you get - hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction soon

I take it the culprit did stop and not just drive off

For some reason I was able to hold my temper. I guess I was so astonished how utterly dumb somone can be. I mean, how did the guy ever survive childhood with that kind of sense for moving around without breaking his neck on the stairs. I can't get my head around that.

Oh well.....

I got my car back !! It's all nice and shiny and new again. Not a single sign of it ever being hit. I got 2 brand new wheels on the left side, so the scrathes I put in myself in the first week are gone too

They double checked the suspension etc. and had the car lined/straightened (how you call this ?). Nothing was out of alignment.

After driving the Jazz for 3 weeks I was almost getting used to it. So when I got in my own car again and took off, I had a reality check. "Wait a minute, now I remember why I bought this car."

If you ever think you get tired of your CTR, just swap cars with you sister or mother for 3 weeks. You'll learn to like it again when you get it back

(Although, the very first thing you will notice after 50 yards is the stiff ride )
