Hopefully it will all be sorted now

BTW I'd rather have the Micra than the Juke..... Can you imagine the shame of being seen in that ugly thing

The saga continues, picked up the car today variouse things have been "repaired" things that I hadn't asked for but the horrible rumbley wurring noise is still there, this is after they had replaced the driveshaft Bearing that was gone (their diagnosis) after a phone call they have told me it is tyre noise ha! After speaking to my mechanic (my dad) he has decided that he is going to look at the car in depth to get to the root of the problem. Finance company has told me that if the problem I have reported is still not fixed I now have the right for refusal of the car.... I love the car itself but after the service I have relieved from the dealer I think I am going to return the car, get my money back and get something else, I am absolutely fuming that the in competent ***** cannot even fix a small problem!

Well. Another update for those interested or reading about this. On my way to my grans for Sunday lunch. The ominouse wurring noise believed to be a wheel bearing turned out to be much much more seriouse. After pulling off the a19 there was a loud bang steering wheel ripped out of my hands and nearly lost control of the car! Seems to me that the diff is buggered. So the car is now isn't drivable. When I have checked the repairs they have said they have carried out have clearly not been done (no socket marks on any of the relevant bolts) also does anyone know if these cars have an ABS ring? As that was apparently changed as well. The only thing that has been done is a front to rear switch with the wheels.

Looks like there will be a phone call to the finance company tomorrows. Anyone think a call to trading standards will be of any use as well?

Thats not great mate, its scary when it happens. My girlfriend bought an EP2 last hear and exactly the same thing happened whilst I was driving it and after it had been driven just 60 miles in her ownership. Massive bang and the whole drive train seized. cracked the gearbox casing, destroyed both drive shafts and wrecked the clutch. Hopefully they'll just accept the car back now. Good luck and glad the event did not result in anything more serious.

It's certainly a scary moment. Made all the more worse with my girlfriend being pregnant. After 1200 miles of ownership I'm gutted, can't understand how they missed a problem like this after numerouse road test and having the car 13 days

Well I don't think they can do anything but take it back now! Shocking that cars can be sold in this condition. I'm in the process of looking for a new car, but I'm so dubious about dealers I make sure I take my Dad (mechanic) with me.

Shameless plug, but my 2.2 is up for sale if you still want one, lol. It's not the type-S, but it is mechanically sound!

Hope they don't give you any more hassle.

I would normally do the same and have my dad inspect the car. After his 1st drive out in it that's how we discovered the noise. After what happened today he said he should of drove the car rather then me when he found the noise.

Worth the plug mate but unfortunately I will Have to decline

It's a shame they let cars out in this state cos it just gives dealers a bad name. I'd never touch a car from any branch of Stratstone for that reason, and I've been looking at a few from Evans Halshaw recently too so it's making me think twice.

There's a Honda dealers in Stoke called Holdcroft that are pretty spot on, might be worth a look on their website, I used to drive from Liverpool to have my Accord serviced there!

Stratstone, quicks, evans halshaw are all owned by the same firm. I will from now never deal with these companies. Think I may get a cheap £800 for the winter and see what happens when the weather clears up

Get a nice 6th gen civic, if you do not want an 8th gen.

They are cheap to fix and run.

Evans Halshaw have had a realy bad reputation for quite a while now. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Try looking at all their bad reviews on the net. Also Had a bad experience personally with Stratstone Honda (where I got my Cdti from) so dont use them any more for servicing. Found 2 other realy good Honda dealers instead.

If I had the time I'd play with firms like this by going through the motions with their most expensive used car and then cancelling at the last moment before any money has changed hands due to a 'company bad review I'd seen on the net'.

One way they might get the message

Doesn't Honda UK give a damn about that dealership?
Aren't dealerships franchises that operate for the company?

Honda should slam them for having bad customer service.

Honda say they want to be the biggest, you cant be the biggest by pumping out cheaper cars, you do it with good customer service, cheaper cars helps a little but people are willing to pay more if they get good service.
