Problem with interior fan

Hello haven't been on in a while so I apologise for being rude and asking a question with my first post! I couldn't find a category for heating so I've put it here sorry mods if I am incorrect.

I have a 2.2 diesel (tractor) 07 plate civic on around 72k miles.

The other day I went to use my fans and realised there wasn't actually any air blowing out whether it was on hot or cold. I can hear a fan in the dash turning over or something anyway. It happens on hot and cold and whether ac is on or not. I am just getting nothing.

I have tried to search the forum and the only thing I could find was about a relay to do with the ac compressor but I don't think that this is the issue here.

Is this a known fault and if so what do I need to check for?

Many thanks in advance

So you hear the fan spinning but you get no air coming from the vents.

I had this problem a couple of months ago, was halfway through a long drive and noticed the cabin was getting stuffy. Never normally happens as I always have auto CC on. The fans were working but even if turned to full no air was getting in, even if I switched the AC off. I wish I had a definate answer for you but it cleared up after a couple of hours and has been ok since. I wonder if it could be a blockage?

It's working fine again now rather strange. It was after a long journey it happend to me too. Maybe the fan is overheating and causing it to auto turn off?
