"Check System" after not using car 15 days?

Hi guys

CTR, 2009, has been running fine.

I left the car at an airport car park for 15 days. So it's been unused for over 2 weeks. (I kept keys).

When I returned and started the engine, I got the message "check system" and the engine management light is on.

Any ideas? Used car twice since, light still on.

Disconnect then reconnect the battery. See if its still there after that.

To disconnect battery, open bonnet and using a 10mm spanner or socket loosen the black - clamp on the battery, lift of the clamp. Leave it off for 30 minutes. reconnect and start the car.

To read the codes you need access to a code reader

Yeah disconnect the positive and negative then leave it for a bit. I just use an adjustable spanner to loosen them clamps and lift them off the battery.

That should hopefully sort the problem.

If its still there once you've reconnected and started the car up, best off doin a diagnostic check either at your local Honda or if your Breakdown cover has Honda Specialist callout vans then ask them. Think AA have Honda special vehicles. I know RACs is VW.

Light went off after the misses went to work with the car this morning.

No problem. Theres a Check System thats came up for me and it's something to do with the car thinking its been over fuelled.

The Check System then disappears after a good run and starting the car back up again.
