Do they serve a purpose in the engine bay or are they solely for cosmetic gains?

Cosmetic...Personally I think they look rediculous!!
But I'm not 21 anymore

They are to stop leaks dripping through the engine. brake fluid is corrosive. but really just bling as the fluid reservoir shouldnt really leak.

Similar thoughts myself. I just wasn't sure if they actually were serving a purpose or were literally just little wooly socks in an engine bay

Av herd they are ment to stop the caps coming loose but thats unlikely.

They're bling. If the reservoir leaks,theres a fault with it.

Hi mate how do you get those things you have on your car come up when you post a comment ?

I heard that the fluid can expand under extreme load on track and leak out of the lid.... Dont know if its true though
