Part it out mate its the only way to get something back. You could try offering stuff on an exchange basis? Buyer pays removal and fitting costs? Go to a local garage and get a price to fit an exhaust double it and subtract from the price you will get? Or does anyone have a standard 08 ctr with similar mileage who wants the deal of the century on a swap?

I say now, its never worth as much to us as it is you. Specced up parts mean nothing to a dealer as it means nothing to the person wanting to buy it off the forecourt. 9/10 people see a specced up Type R on the front and will instantly think its been raced everywhere no matter how well its been looked after.

I have a 2003 Boxster as well as the Civic, Porsche's are lousy in snow so mines just a fun car - spends the winter in the garage.

The one in the OPs post had a daft front spoiler.

I don't think I could spend 20k+ on a car that is way past warranty. Especially one that will be stupid expensive to fix.

Recent BCA research indicates modified cars sell lower than their non-modified counterparts.

Aint even sold it and ive got buyers for parts Nah seriously, it wont be till next year when i know what im doing next. But i do want a porsche, my grin would be from ear to ear!

Same time id be gutted to sell the civic, i've put tons of effort and cash into it and its my pride and joy. But change is good and things come to an end. I guess hitting 30 has made me feel a bit odd about driving around in a heavily modified and supercharged civic lol But id still like something with a lot of power but a bit more civilised

Exactly, i could quite happily be sat in a porsche and some kid in some crazy turbo corsa flies passed and i wouldnt care, im driving a porsche lol Enjoying the ride and still having over 300bhp as standard, maybe id only own it for a year or 2. Just enjoy owning one for a while then chop it in, but i think everyone would grab the chance of owning one and experiencing such a nice car for a period of time.

Just cant be arsed with stripping the car back to standard and sorting selling the parts. Maybe i could do a civic boot sale and people drive away with mods and i drive away with lots of monies!

Lovely car, I've just read the build thread. How much would you want as it is? Might save you stripping it trying to sell it privately

Cheers mate, as a rough guess around the 17k mark? On parts alone ive spent 10k not including labour, and theyre the kind of parts you can get a large majority of the money back that you spent. If the standard car is worth maybe 9k then yeah maybe 17k as it is would be a fair price
