The UK as a whole is a country thats falling to pieces right before everyones eyes. Its not going to get any better. In fact the next 10 years will probably be the worst for our country.

I would expect in the next 4-6 years the average salary to drop by at least 22%. With the introduction of Eastern Europeans we are already seeing wages drop rapidly. Now am not blaming anyone, its just times are changing. Everything is getting more expensive.

Canada like German however are self protected. They deal with there own finance. Yes both countries are in a bit of a state, but can continue to look after and maintain there people.

I had the chance to visit Hamilton, Ontairo. If I had kids thats where I would be giving them the best start in life. The family life over there is amazing - which is totally lost in the UK.

I plan on moving to Canada within the next 3 years as the wife is from there. The only thing am waiting here for is the house prices to rise. I could sell up both just now to a yeld of around 18%. However if things keep going the way they are going (getting more expensive) my yeld is expected to be around 32%. Which is a whole lot of money.

The aveage 3 bedroom, garage, basement and Pool home in Canada costs around £120,000 in a good area with good schools.

Try pricing that in most areas in Britain, add an extra £100,000 and put a crime rate of about 50% on top of that.

Just my views....but i will be offski very soon

Yes, but the ride is much quieter and softer than the type r.

We had a type s when Charlie was a baby and had no issues .... as Rick said, the doors and big and allow much better access than a 5 door.

Plus, as we know the FN's have massive boots. They can accommodate the largest pram with ease.

Another nod to the FN2 as a baby carrier. Those who saw my car at JAE might have seen the baby seat in the back.

I find it easier to get the lad in the back of my FN2 than I do getting him in the back of the wife's FK2. I step in the car with him and it's so much easier with the extra room and being in front of him rather than leaning over.

As he's getting older he's liking my FN2 more and more as well. He always has big smiles when he sees he's going in daddy's car.

Perhaps its just the place we are in Canada, maybe if we were somewhere else I'd like it better. We are kind of stuck here as its really expensive to leave. The ferry to the mainland is $700 CAD and we've just booked flights to New York for Xmas and those cost more than what my friend payed for flights from Heathrow to New York.

Housing wise this town is experiencing a boom due to the oil off the coast and I think thats why property is so expensive. If we were to buy a 3 bedroom terrace house the cost would be almost $400K CAD.

Sounding more like the FN2 is the ideal car! I guess that'll save me some money!

We just haven't settled. I've still got 1.5 years left on my work permit and my wife managed to get a full time job within 5 days of landing but its just not for us. As a country it is booming though (no national debt) and its got loads of natural resources so things will only get better...

Like I said, I think its the place we are (St. John's - Newfoundland) If we were in BC maybe things would be different. But with my work in the oil industry I'm limited as to where I can get work. The only other place would be Calgary and we weren't keen on that place.
