2006 version vs 2007
I have read a few threads on the forum regarding the 2007 model of civic.
I order my civic little over a week ago, would like to think i am getting a 2007 model, but not expecting to get one. Does anyone know what is different from the 06 to 07 models? Stuart |

2007 model?
There is only the 2006 model so far, if there will be one it will be released next year. I presume the next generation civic will be quite different and be well publicised. Or am I missing something? |

A lot of the orders being taken now are 2007 models. No major changes, as the link says. Some of the 06 models just aren't available any more.

Popped in to see my stealer as had a spare half an hour so sat in the showroom display model. Anyway stealer mentioned that whilst no change to the spec between 2006 and 2007 model he thought that the change to the new year model might have contributed to delays in new cars and hence long lead times. Don't know why it would though.

They may have to re-tool for certain aspects of the car that are unseen by sales staff or the public.
The cars are refined slightly as they go along, so there may be small changes that honda have not told us about yet. |

I should be in a position to let you know fairly soon. I don't think they will ad up to much, truth be known. It will all be under the skin. If I get any info, I will, of course, let every one know

Someone did mention to me that if you were looking to buy a new model they advised to wait until a year so that any teething problems are ironed out during manufacturing. May not apply as much to Honda given reputation for reliability but we have seen more than a few eg HFT, rear shocks, fuel cap etc etc that have been mentioned by other forum members. Fingers crossed for mine due in October.

I am not sure if Honda are pushing out Civic's a bit quick because of the demand to get them to the customers and then take a hit on 'snagging'. But it sounds like quality control me have slackend off a little (But I hope not)
But then I bought a new house once, OMG! don't get me started I will be here all night! Was an ordeal and a half but ended up being a lovely house! [EDIT] Yea! Triangular Exhaust ! |

2007 model?
Can't beat 'original is best'!! 2006 for President!!! I'm driving mine now (well ten minutes ago!) and to think that some people have got to wait until 2007 before they experience this wonderful machine - I know I wouldn't be able to wait til then to do it! |
