EX car alarm

When i travel to the mainland from the Isle of Wight, i obviously have to use a car ferry.

I may have a problem that when the ferry is moving, it usually sets off car alarms.

Is there a way to lock the civic, without arming the alarm, so the bluddy thing doesn't need resetting every 5 minutes!?

You need to step out of the car, and leave the door open.

Lock the door using the interior switch, by the interior handle, whilst holding the outer door handle as if you were opening the door.

This should switch of the interior, but not the perimeter alarm.

Mind you, if someone is going to make a get-away from the isle of wight ferry in your car, and they think it can really fly let them take it. Should be interesting if nothing else
