When I bought my Type-S diesel in June, these were the servicing prices supplied to me by Lincolnshire Honda (Grantham) all fully inclusive :

3yr 37500m = £175 (1.5hrs - oil and filter, sump washer and brake fluid)
4yr 50000m = £275 (1.9hrs - oil and filter, sump, air, pollen and fuel filter)
5yr 62500m = £185 (1.2hrs - oil and filter, sump washer and anti-freeze)
6yr 75000m = £340 (2.5hrs - oil and filter, sump, gear oil, air, fuel and pollen, brake fluid)
7yr 87500m = £140 (0.8hrs - oil and filter, sump washer)
8yr 100000m = £335 (2.4hrs - oil and filter, sump, fuel, pollen, air filter, antifreeze)

It also lists some repair costs on Honda Happiness

Front Brake Pads = £85 (0.7hrs)

That sounds a bit odd having to arrange your own. I got charged £10 for the courtesy car when mine went in for first service a couple of weeks back ("for the insurance" I was told), but I certainly didn't need to arrange anything myself. Service still came in at £162 all in, which I thought was reasonable.

Wish I hadn't bothered with that tenner though, as they handed me a bottom of the range Jazz with an empty fuel tank. Absolute pony it was. Felt a right plank driving that!

I Remember when I bought a rover a few years back the sales guys told me that their cars were to be used as courtesy cars for people having a service etc so they had to keep them clean.

Over here there is no such thing as courtesy cars etc. If there was people would steal them. I heard the local BMW place had one stolen a couple of years ago when they lent it to a guy who had his car in for servicing. Never saw it again.

At present I have a skoda and they don't offer a car when your is being serviced, you simply wait or sort yourself out. I would prefer the courtesy car to be honest but that is poland for you.

I thought that too - and when asked Crown Honda and Chiswick Honda could not explain why they differed!!! Strange wouldn't you say!

The service prices should be fixed - but if the fixed price is higher for diesels than petrols that would make sense.

I know in my last Civic - 1.6 VTEC Sport - I took it in for it's 2nd service and checked things like the wipers and the windscreen washer water the night before... and low and behold - I had a call telling me my wipers needed replacing! Which i brushed off. Then when i got the bill i saw they had charged me £2.99 for windscreen washer fluid! When i knew it was full to the brim! Shows what costs they just "add" on the bottom to get the prices up...
