A Pillar Trim/Cover

Hi does anyone know for sure if the airbag or anything releated gubbins is actually behind the A Pillar Trim (marked Air Bag) or is it in along the roof lining?

Just wondering as have an annoying noise from between here and the corner of the dash (passenger side) and wanted to remove per some posts on here and stick in some padding/tape to stop it.

If there is a chance of me setting the bag off whovever I will wait and let the dealer do it in a few months when my car has its 1st service.

Cheers
Barry

Altough the icon of the airbag is on the a-pillar, it is actually NOT IN the a-pillar but indeed in the roof lining. I know cause I have a bluetooth kit installed on the A-pillar.

Brodick is right.....if you have the curtian airbags then they are behind the A pillar.

Sane Sanity you can't have curtian airbags if they are not behind that pillar!

You will also find this information in the handbook supplied with your car. It gives diagrams of where the airbags are and how they would recat in the event of impact

Sod that then - the other posts made it sound eay to remove, but I'm not of the mind to try it if the bag could go up.

Back to sticking a small bit of card between the dash and the trim then......
