Most impressed!
Had the Type 'R' now for about 2-1/2 weeks just had a weeks holiday away in it so have managed to get 1k miles on the clock in that time, what a noise!!! when the cams kick in I thought the Zed exhaust note took some beating, it's surprised me just how quick the R is, what has amazed us is how much room there is in such a smallish car, we went over to France, 4 adults and a bootfull of booze and it swallowed it easily, only niggle is the small capacity fuel tank (50 litres) my 407 has a 70 litre tank as did the Zed, as for MPG just come back up from Kent and averaged 28.9 mpg not bad for a high reving engine.

Yeh gotta agree on the interior space Mick, I am 6'3 and I have the driver seat two clicks forward, to help me operate the clutch fully. First thing I did when I walked into Honda was to put front seat right back and jump into back seats...well impressed. Also loving the noise, good excuse to keep ya foot buried once in a while.

Yep the Type R is brilliant. If you think it is good after 2 weeks, you will love it after it is run in. The engine just gets better and better.
Whats the "Zed" ? A kawasaki ? |

If you do, I think you would be the first one on here with 2 8th Gen Civics! (or doesn´t some one have a Hybrid and "normal" one?) Go for it! You don´t REALLY want that Peugeot now do you?? Oh oh and then you can remap the 2.2 and compare the performance with the R... |

I hadn't spotted the 1k miles first time I read the post. Your right, the biggest improvement is in the first 1000 miles, but it should still keep getting better. I have heard it said that these engines are not fully loosened up until 12 to 20k miles.
Mine certinly seems better at 2k than 1k miles. |
