I Hate Bonfire Night

Just had a look round my car this morning to see if there were any marks or remnants of fireworks on it as some people who live round here thought it was a good idea to let rockets etc off on the green right outside peoples houses.

And it looks like a stray rocket has headed straight to the passenger door & left a dent & scorch mark about 7" long

i have tried to get rid of it , but not having much luck

WOW! Really sorry for you. I have never heard of something like that happening before but how unlucky are you?

Hope you get it sorted - somehow!

Oh dear i just suppose that is a bit of bad luck post a picture of the damage. I am sure a proper cleaner or some sort of liquid would get it out.

Sorry shrimpman, you must be well p----- off.
If the dent doesnt have any sharp edges to it, a trip to the paintless dent removal firm, should sort it for £65 and I know they have stuff that removes surface marks, which we wouldnt have the nerve to use.

I had a friend who came out of his house to go to work a few years ago on Nov 6th to find a broken rear window and a rocket on his rear parcel shelf.

Dreadful. Really feel for you
I found a rocket lying next to my car this morning, but it missed. No marks.
Hope you get the mark repaired ok.
Try ChipsAway. Theyre really good

Bad news....

On Sunday morning I found a rocket next to my car and some strange red powder all over the windscreen and wipers, not sure what it was but wasn't very happy .....

They should be banned......

Our poor little Westie was shaking with fear.
I could handle it, if it was just the one night (5th), but it is now a couple of nights either side.
OR, am I just being a grumpy old git.

Yep one one of my dogs too - the other had his head out the cat flap when we did our watching them getting all excited (strange dogs)!!

I live near Southall cant wait til Diwali 3 or 4 nights of sounding like we are in the middle of the blitz from dusk until very early hours (Kremmen can back me on this one) my dog spends the whole time petrified and even scared to go in to the garden to fo a wee

They should be banned from sale. Only organised events should be allowed. Lots of problems then solved. Vote me.

I hope the damage can be completely fixed.

A good few years ago I went to a large organised event with some very large fireworks. When I returned to my car (in the event carpark) there was what I can only describe as looking like large solder splashes, similar to molten metal that had set accross the bonnet. Luckily is was quite soft and peeled off. The pantwork came up again after a good t-cut and wax. Sorta made me think though, lucky it hit the car and not someone looking up at the fireworks. If of course it was from a firework

I was worried about stray rockets that weekend and put the car in my garage, even though it was tight and you have to be double jointed to get out it!

I also found a rocket on my lawn sticking out of the ground, I'd hate to think what that would of done to the car!

I put my car in the garage on bonfire night and couldn't get out, they are quite wide aren't they

Anyway after a week in the car in the garage, with the wife bringing me my meals I've ventured out today, think I'm safe now
