Civic spec's?
Being that impressed with the 'R' I went and picked up a brochure for the other Civic range with a view to getting a 2.2 CDTi EX for the wife to use and me to use for work. It states in the description, that for the ES the panoramic sunroof is standard, now the EX description states 'as ES model plus the following' etc etc, then at the bottom it says the panoramic roof is an optional extra, any EX owners tell me different?

I thought you could get them seperately now but couldnt when they first came out? Not 100% on that though...in any case if the funds allow it I'd strongly suggest getting the EX with the Leather & Sunroof cause I love it

from memory, you can get the leather without the roof.
but if you get the roof, you must have leather. or maybe the other way round |

Seem to missing the point here, what I was trying to point out was that in the brochure it states that on the ES model the panoramic roof is standard, on the next level up, so to speak, is the EX which, according to the brochure has the spec of the ES + a few more extra's, which in my mind includes the panoramic roof as per ES spec, so why is it an optional extra for the EX?

As it doesn't open I got to like it with all the extra light it gave the cabin, especially in the back for the kids. when the shades are closed you don't notice it either. I don't like sunroofs as a rule, mostly as we never seem to have the weather to have it open! |

The glass roof is nicely done on the civic, although it's really more impressive from outside the car as I think most people are ever so slightly disappointed to find it split in two once they look inside!
I take it you get heated seats when you order the leather option? I don't think I've ever since a pic of a Civic with those little blanking plates filled up with the heated seat switches though!? |

Damn - why can't I edit my posts? I seem to be able to edit some but not others - it's very annoying when you spot a mistake afterwards!

in the UK spec, you get heating as part of the leather seat option
but you can't have heated seats unless they are leather - or you live outside the UK yet another example of Honda's interesting spec choices Which you could (sort of) understand if non UK cars were made in a different factory... |
