Or maybe the blanket of frost with the additional weight is a problem.

When you get the car back though I would flop it into reverse and walk round the back to see if all the sensors are working. You may need to do a Cato and sneak up on them with a stick or something to test them individually.

I think Spile has it right! I have no sensors, so when/if I hit something when reversing, I am never in doubt about the faulty part - just a case of simple incompetence!!

It's a reasonably well recognised fact that some roads are so dangerous that they are "safe".
