Question brodit mount installation help

I have recently got the brodit mount for the civic. Its the one that sits to the left of the gearstick. I also bought a brodit attachment to hold my iphone in.

Does anyone know how im meant to fix the iphone holder to the actual mount. Cause i cant believe im meant to drill and screw into the actual plastic mount?

Yes, as standard you are supposed to drill and fix the mount to the proclip. You should have been supplied some screws with the kit for exactly that purpose.

However they also do something called a MoveClip which allows the mount to be removed more easily:

No need to drill, they screws are self tapping and screw into the plastic without any problems. Not sure why this should be a problem?

That's my TrafficMaster Q-Busta

TrafficMaster Q-Busta

When in range of a Tm beacon it either lights up red or green depending on traffic conditions, in conjunction with spoken alerts as to traffic conditions on major roads (covered by Tm) up to 10 miles ahead and covered side roads.

Example:

"You are on the M25, junction 12, clockwise, M25 clockwise, slow traffic for 4 miles between junctions 15 and 17, expect 20 minutes delay, A30, M4, M40, traffic flowing freely"

The Q-Busta, unlike the old Freeway boxes is a subscription for life - no annual fees.

UK only I suspect thought so not a lot of use for you.

Quick move clips use strong adhesive pads to fix and also have advantage that you can easily remove holder & device to glovebox leaving discrete bracket only in place for security.

1. Press the thin end of the enclosed gap opener into the gap between the console and the panel surrounding the gear shift, to widen the gap. Use the enclosed alcohol pad to clean the surface where the ProClip is to be installed. Peel off the adhesive tape covers on the ProClip.

2. Press the angled edge on the upper part of the ProClip into the gap between the frame surrounding the control panel and the dashboard. Flip the ProClip downwards so the angled upper edge hooks behind the frame surrounding the control panel.

3. Press the lower part of the ProClip into the gap next to the gap opener. Pull out the gap opener.

4. The ProClip is in place. < Back
