Just got the new edition of Auto Express. A shoot out between the Type R and the Impreza WRX.
Honda kicks its butt.

I'm convinced Clarkson is on contract to someone.

When he was 'given' an Escort Cozzy for a few years he praised Ford to the hilt and rubbished Vauxhall at every opportunity.

I can only assume that the CTR is damaging the sales of the company who currently have him under their wing. If the CTR suspension was that bad wouldn't have Tiff pointed that out on his test drive? Instead Tiff thinks the CTR is superb.

The minute I saw Top Gear and JC's review I knew this forum would become entertaining reading!!!

Anyone read Evo magazine's review of the CTR? They hate it!! So much so that they included the Japanese version in this years Evo Car Of The Year feature (and not the UK CTR - they actually included the UK version in the most disappointing cars of the year section!).... they compare the Jap CTR to the Integra - which in a previous feature they stated as the greatest FWD car of all time!!!

At the end of the day it's down to a matter of opinion. Evo magazine isn't going to stop CTR fans loving there cars - and neither will JC.

Personally - having test drove a CTR, Focus ST and Golf GTI - I liked the CTR the least. I actually preferred the Focus ST because it had more character for me. (Evo magazine actually prefer the Golf).

So what did I buy in the end? A diesel Civic of course!!!!
