Post Prospective mods- Yay or Nay?

Hi Everyone,

I've been thinking of some 'cheap' and not so cheap mods for my car with a view to doing them over the next few years......
  1. Type R rear light kit,
  2. Type R rear spoiler,
  3. Colour coding front middle grill - NHB of course!,
  4. Colour coding all bodywork bits,
  5. HID upgrade from a 5 door - complete lot, not some ebay knock-off,
  6. DVD player in the glove box,
  7. Supercharger kit - I really want this ,
  8. Reversing camera,
  9. Blue lights - but only if I pass the test [hehehehehe],
  10. "Garage Door Opener"
  11. And maybe some other bits when I think of them.
Thoughts guys?? On how they'd look, fit, or any potential problems?

All the best,
Tom

They are denedant on three things:

Money,
Insurance,
Money (They will be done over a few years, if they get done....Some sound pretty difficult).

  1. Type R rear light kit, - Not worth it
  2. Type R rear spoiler, - yes
  3. Colour coding front middle grill - NHB of course!, -yes
  4. Colour coding all bodywork bits, -yes
  5. HID upgrade from a 5 door - complete lot, not some ebay knock-off, - it will cost a fortune and take ages to fit - upgrade bulbs almost as good and a fraction of the cost.
  6. DVD player in the glove box, - portable plug in DVD player for £100 ?
  7. Supercharger kit - I really want this , - Wow, but fit it to a type R
  8. Reversing camera, - a gadget , not for me
  9. Blue lights - but only if I pass the test [hehehehehe], - on the roof ?
  10. "Garage Door Opener" - poser
  11. And maybe some other bits when I think of them.

I fitted a garage door opener a couple of weeks ago...always wanted one...should've got one years ago!! best thing I ever did. they're on offer at B&Q...from £82..
B&Q Online: From Kitchens & Bathrooms to Sheds & Paving; plus planning tools
I got the quieter belt driven model @ £131. Fitting looks a bit daunting at first, but take your time...read the manual...it's a doddle. 2 remotes... I keep one on the sun visor...opens the door from 100 yards away. dead chuffed!

I wouldn't bother with the Type R rear lights on a NHB car. The red standard ones really suit that colour.

Other than that, all sounds pretty good.
