Well to be honest ......i can't blame you ,i have droven a focus for 4 years before get into the civic .The quality was much better and never had to take it back to the garage in these 4 years .For the handeling of the car the civic is better ,but it's a choice you make .So far only had the bumpstops replaced (not counting the problems i had with the dpf on my diezel, now i have a 1.8).

In the process of doing the opposite
My Focus is going for a Civic. May not be the best idea, the Focus has been faultless over the last 18 months but just don't get to use it enough to warrant 21mpg and £205 road tax etc. beware there are a number of Focus owners who moan about interior rattles also. Mine has a few. |

If you like the Focus...no problem
If you like the Honda... no problem. If YOU like it and it does what you want and is reliable etc....your money, your choice. Whichever you have...Happy motoring.. (Which engine in the Focus?) |

Had a Focus ST before the Civic, and found the Focus had many more rattles.
However, it was a much better car! |

Nice to see all these guys buying them Focus's.
Makes the Space Ship a bit morre exclusive then. "My Grandson kept saying, 'Hurry up and finish your dinner grandad'.
I asked him why. He replied that his daddy was gonna get Millie when you've had your chips!" |

![]() Whatever you think of Fords (not a lot I gather) They are, by the industry standards, a very reliable and competent car. The only thing that lets them down is their residuals due to Ford flooding the market TopCat..You owe me...LOL |

I have to agree with Robbo here.
I don´t like the Focus myself, but if some-one else does, go ahead and buy it. Whatever makes you happy, it is your money. |

I really can't be bothered to deal with yet another problem and have the dealer decide it's the clutch, then have to fight Honda to do it under warranty! Anyway, what sort of px deal did you get? I really just want market value which will clear the outstanding finance. |

I have had two Focus (Focii?), a older 2.0 zetec and then a new 2.0 ghia, over a total of 3 years. Both good cars and fun to drive, and with no problems or rattles.
Lost too much money tho. Swapped the last for a RAV4 and the RAV for the civic. Best of luck with the new car. |
