Pottsy, do you have to specify the telescopic dash on those motors as an option.

I would look forward to seeing a pic of the TT, can you make it round with the numbers 1 - 20 arranged round it, save us time. In all seriousness though, you have chosen what is a great looking car, perhaps you were putting too much on the Civics looks, when really you wanted a bit more excitement. Good luck ads!

I'm looking for around £24,000. It's an 05 reg, Ultra Yellow (1 of only 76 in the country), Has full GT pack including Bose sound system, electric/heated leather seats, Limited edition GT4 rims with brand new Michelin Pilot Sports Tyres (top of the range), Origin B2 speed trap detector, Rear Parking Sensors.

Can't seem to attach the photos as they are too big to upload (over 1mb each)!!

I agree with you there!
However, after driving the TT mark 2, I have to disagree.

The TT, dare I say it, is much better than the 350Z.
It's faster, more economical, has more room, can carry four people (admittedly not comfortably, but still can do this), bigger boot space, nicer interior, better handling (thanks to quattro) and has an incredible auto/manual gearbox.

These are all things that the 350 lacked.

All the issues that kept the 350 ahead of the mark 1 TT (i.e. performance and looks) have been addressed by Audi and improved upon with the mark 2.

I'll always love the 350 but like I said before, Nissan really let it down.

Gotta say tho' that 350Z does look fantastic.

For me it beats the TT in the looks department. I have always had a slight problem with the TT and the 'hairdresser car' type image

But then again, I am buying an 'Old mans car'

Images can change easily!!

It's true the Civic had an old man image but I doubt i'll see any old men driving the new civic! In fact the only people I've seen drive it are young!

I agree the TT was a bit of a hairdressers car but thats because they were relatively cheap and many were available. Thats all changed now! Audi have restricted production on the new TT to make it more exclusive. Thats why I'm having to wait till late Feb next year! This is something Nissan did with the 350 to make it more exclusive and now Audi are following suit. Also the car is a lot more expensive than it used to be. I doubt very much that a hairdresser will be able to afford it on their salary! (no offence!)

When I look at those photos of the Z, I still can feel the excitement. Wet roundabouts, traction off, fantastic engine, big ballsy car that needed taming.

I look at the TT, and am reminded of the quattro system that failed in my Audi, the aircon that failed, the nasty ride the woolly handling and the fact that I need my hair cut soon.

I know that judging the new TT on my experiences of an A4 and Golf (R32) is a bit like someone judging the Z because they once drove a Micra, but the TT still just doesn't get me excited. I would imagine that it's going to be a very different car to the Z, aimed at a different market (an automatic 4WD Audi compared to a RWD basic rock hard sports car), so really the comparisons are not all that fair.

Wish I still had my Z (lack of seats was the finisher )

Verry funny, ads and kalak Reminds me of Alan Partridge and his "lady boy chasers!"

I've never thought of the TT as being a hairdresser's car. I've heard it applied to MX5s though.

Hey Pottsy!
I would definitly try and test drive the TT if you can (not with the intention of buying) I guarantee you'll prefer the drive to the 350! That was the winner for me. The handling is surprisingly better due to the quattro (which I think they've ironed out all the problems with).

That's the one! Alan Partridge had a bit of a fascination for ladyboys at one point!

Good choice of car - I'd get one myself if I could afford it! The reviews have been great.
