Goodbye Civic, Hello Focus

Folks,

After 5 years of sheer driving pleasure, it's time to say goodbye to the Civic

I fell in love with the 2.2 diesel engine, which I drove happily for 4 years. Desperately looking for a replacement (lease)car then, I found exactely the same Civic, yet with the 1.8 petrol engine and a year left on its leasecontract (my current car).
It's not as much fun as the diesel (lacks a bit of power imho) but at least it is still a Civic with that great sporty design and good handling!

I'm in the fortunate position where I get to choose a new (lease)car, so I had to go explore my options (read: alternatives). Since the family is expanded rapidly I was forced to shop for a station wagon.
I ended up choosing the new Ford Focus, mainly because of the 1.6 ECOboost engine (150bhp) and proper handling (standard suspension is rather comfy though, but you can get Eibach springs).

The new car will look like this:

I would like to thank everyone on the forum here, where I've found a wealth of information and tips! Also the Wiki has been great source of Civic knowledge!

I hope you'll have a much fun in your Civics as I had in mine, it's a true drivers car!

Cheers!

Daniel

good luck with the focus buddy, got to say the estate is the better looking than the hatchback, it looks more classy where as I feel the hatchback seems to look awkward
