A exspensive morning!!!

Well this morning, I drove past a VW dealer and spotted a scirocco R so took it on test drive

2011 with one owner and only 865 miles

Optional extras

Leather
19" wheels
Sound system

At £21,995 I just couldn't walk away.

I'm off to sign final agreement Monday so going to enjoy the civic some more, not sure if I've made the right choice but time will tell. The civic is a fantastic car but with the new type r not out till 2015 I found myself looking at other brands.

Im still going to pop back and check the forum as it is by far the best forum I've ever been part of.

My mate has this exact model his engine blew up, he had to put up a fight to get a new one under the warranty. Nice cars though I test drove one a while back they stick like s**t on corners.

What year was his?? I know there was a problem with the 2010 models that was rectified on later model. Also the superchips remap has been known to cause issues

Still no scirocco, being messed around by the garage.

Got a phone call Wednesday lunch time saying I couldn't collect it as there was a delay in service parts arriving (should have them in stock??) and the car wouldn't be ready till Monday. Monday morning the phone rings and they say that due to staff going sick the car wouldn't be valeted in time for collection and company policy states I can't take it till its valeted so it won't be ready till Friday. Friday I get another call saying the car has developed a misfire and wouldn't be ready till sometime this week.

Yesterday I went to the finance company and have cancelled the finance agreement and they made a note of how crap the dealer is (doesn't affect my credit rating) I'm really looking forward to calling the dealer today and telling them where they can put their car

Quite peeved off to be honest ah well I'll be sticking with the type r a bit longer

Shocking way to deal with a customer who was spending a large wad of cash. You have probably had a lucky escape, just think if you had to take it back for work under warranty. Have you got all your money back?

I smell bigger issues with the car and they were just stalling you so they could sort it and not tell you.

I would walk away too, lots of cars out there
