Air's a bit thin up here on the moral highground.
We know they are not road legal but I have considered making my car a track car and getting something else that would be ideal for going to and from work. If I do that then the car won't be on the road but i'm still going to be a member of this site and i'm interested in things like this.

There are also memebers all round the world who maybe able to fit these to their cars or have cars they use off road and if they can fit these then who are we to say that autobulbs cannot advertise this on here?

We know the rules with regards to road use for these bulbs so on our own heads be it.

Good luck with your track car. Seems as mad as box of frogs to dismantle a 20K car rather than spend about 12k building one but hey thats a choice you can make that won't affect anyone else.

'We know the rules with regards to road use for these bulbs so on our own heads be it.' ..... If only that were true. The HIDS will be good for you (other than the probable interference on the radio) but to the detriment of other road users, so unfortunately this quote isn't strictly true. Would you say the same regards street racing, drink driving?

My car was bought to be a family car, but its no longer required to be that and never moves so at 7 months old and only 3700 miles its been considred quite a few times.

With regarads to street racing, drink driving, people know the rules of the road and if they feel they are of a higher being than everyone else and can do these things then they must live with the consequences whether it be being caught by the police or ruining other peoples lives by killing or injuring people. The same can be said for people who drive without a license or insurance, and they all eventually get caught. No amount of you or I telling people whats illegal will stop the people who want to break the rules.

Users of this forum when reading threads about aftermark HID lights are usually treated to what is required for them to be be fitted and considered legal in their country. I do agree that there are people out there and even on this site who haven't read the requirements for these lights and don't know fitting them is illegal, but if they chose to buy from places like autobulbs then they advise that they are for off road use only and not road legal.

It doesn't get used for work as it is. That usually consists of 1 of 3 bm's depending on the weather. Like this morning the m3 was last up the drive but its pee'ing down so that was left
