Smile K&N Civic 5D Air Filter group buy

Hi,

I wonder if somebody is interested in group buy for the K&N Air Filter, part number 57-0668, for Civic 5D EU.

K&N High Performance Air Filters, Oil Filters, & Cold Air Intakes - Official K&N Engineering Site for more info's.

In UK the K&N dealer offer me 100 Pounds per kit but maybe if we are a number then the price will be lower.

In my country the local dealers sucks so I have no other choice unless to ask here for a little help.

I'll wait for your opinions.

Is this for petrol models?
There already is a group buy for Diesel Panel filters:
GROUP BUY: Pipercross Panel Filter for 2.2 CTDi

I think the HP winning will be a little more at 5400 RPM, somewhere between 5 and 7 HP, but basically are 5 and the sound is changing.

Also, it is available from the K&N the oil filter but I don't know much about performance of it.

From my knowledge and friends talk in US are available the Mugen oil filters and the iridium engine ignition.

The Mugen Oil filter fits on our 5D Civics 100%, also the iridium, so add together, air filter and the rest maybe it can be obtained 10 or more HP, I don't know, I just a Honda fan, not a really specialist ...

well about this K&N kit 57-0668 for EU civics i can only say this very strange kit since there isn't any protection on the filter and hose to get air on filter it's left almost in air to circulate around engine bay???? Personally I would go for 69-1013TS kit for US civic's since it has protection on filter and hose goes from resonator chamber with fresh air to filter and it's very good solution.....I know few people who have kit on their cars for almost a year and are very satisfied with it.....but this 0668 kit looks little unprofessional to me....

@all: almost everything from US civic can fit to our cars since it has same engine bay and engines are same (US R18A1....EU R18A2)

Why K&N instead of the Injen CAI ?

Because the K&N is specially build for our models.

I have no doubt that the specified Injen will fit almost perfectly.

About the protection of the filter...this is a plus that Injen has instead of K&N but the technical support say to me that is not needed.

well personally I'm looking to install Injen because it's in every point of view better then K&N and I don't mean to say that K&N isn't good....but CAI is CAI and Typhoon kit from K&N are mounted near engine where is much hot air and filter is always hot.....while CAI is mounter where is resistor chamber or removing right horn (looking car from forward) and Injen or any CAI can get easily and constantly fresh air directly to filter while K&N uses resistor chamber for air or like kit you posted amidamaru uses it from little openings on panel under motor which I didn't get from installation manual how can you fix it so in drive it doesn't move around (I mine on rubber hose you get in kit)?!......

so if would install K&N I would go for 6013TS kit which is much better and has protection around filter and it has hole for hose which comes from resistor box to factory air box so you don't need to take apart half of car to install it only you have to remove factory air box and plug in hose from resistor chamber.....

Ok..I have opened this thread about group buy for K&N filter but in time was some major changes.

Based on my friend ante00 advices, youtube movies and another technical specifications I have chosen the InJen CAI because it is more professional.

So I think in this moment is the best solution for our engines.
