The mix I used was about 30% snow foam, more concentrated than suggested earlier in this thread, but I wanted to make sure it was nice and thick and I wasn't disappointed. For the first time of use, I'm well chuffed with the results, might do it again tomorrow
night

I also used Bright Wheels, on both the wheels and on the front of the car to remove the bugs etc. Results on both were excellent. It cleaned the wheels well as expected, but I was pleasantly surprised how well it removed the bugs from the front of the car, or at least loosened them well enough so that they just jet washed away.

Not without it's problems however, as while I applied the foam to the car, water was leaking at high pressure out of one of the joints which is either not tight enough or not sufficiently sealed with PTFE tape. However, I'm sure I'll be able to sort this tomorrow, once I find my spanners (and my trousers dry out ).

Happy snow foaming guys

Just an update to the above guys.
A quick tighten with a couple of spanners and the leak is no more. Just couldn't resist using it again, so I did the wife's car this time. She was so impressed, she said she'd let me clean it more often

Mines leaked. Just put on some PTFE tape as you said.

I now have a half plastic and a half metal lance! I wasnt happy with the karcher fitting on the lance, it was far far too tight. So i bastardised an old high pressure lance and got the dye set on it...

If I buy, I have a concern...........Your comments about leaks makes me think that the quality of these lances is not up to scratch....Comments???

I can assure you they are good quality.

As Rachel and the others have said the karcher connector tail just needs a little more ptfe tape on it. It isn't actually part of the lance, it's just the bit that Auto Rae-Chem fit depending on what sort of pressure washer connection you have.

I agree guys, very solid piece of kit, may just need a quick tighten or a bit of extra tape. Although mine didn't actually leak from the Karcher adapter, I had to tighten the main coupling a bit further up (see pic). Not ideal, but a minor inconvenience considering the great deal Rachel gave us and the result you get with it Now if it would just stop raining , I could get out and do a bit more snow foaming

Just to put my 2p in.......SUPER PRODUCT......

Extremely happy with mine, no leaking here.....

Makes car cleaning fun.....I fear I had a bit of OCD before with my car....this product justifies the amount of time I spend on it....

Woohoo!

Thank you Rachel! and Dimply

Interesting.... the design must have changed since i got mine 8 months ago. I have a small pipe inbeween the karcher fitted and the bottle.

Anyone out there who already owns one got any tips?
Based on the recommended concentration of 1%-5%, I have followed this procedure earlier today in order to just be sure I'm not putting too much snow foam solution in the 1 litre bottle.

Snow Foam ... How to! - Detailing World

As you can see it is very easy to do and it will be worthwhile just to make sure you know what ammount of solution is right for your pressure washer flow rate and preferred snow foam lance setting. You don't want to use too much and risk stripping your wax.

Sorry guys about 1" of product in the 1L bottle topped up with water. Then alterating the lance end to pencil or fan jet and using the black knob to control the amount of water you should get some results

Just a reminder this offer is available from Auto Rae-Chem until the 14th, so only one more week.
