Group buy Celtic tuning map (File Only)

As talked about in the celtic tuning custom remap thread i have contacted them asking if they do a file only service so you can load your own map! they said yes for £150 so i asked for a group buy discount, the replied with a no, so i'm just trying to get an idea of numbers for people seriously interested then i can try an tempt them but if all else fails i'll be getting it anyway i suppose.

I am interested in this but have a couple of questions.

1- Is the Galletto 1260 that you see on EBay the real deal? Will it connect to the OBD2 port on the car straight off or do you need any other connectors?

2- Is the Celtic map compatible with the Galletto software.

3- Is the software easy to use and understand?

3- Can the original map be save first?

4- Do we have all purchase the map at the same time? I have just bought the car - deposit, tax, insurance, initial payment has recently come off so gonna be short on cash for about a month or so until I have cleared my credit card. Can I still get a map for £150 when my finances are back in order?

5- Has anyone tested getting the map this way?

Thanks

Connects straight to to the OBD2 port from your PC's USB connector

2- Is the Celtic map compatible with the Galletto software.
Yes, or Celtic Tuning wouldn't be offering it this way

3- Is the software easy to use and understand?
See the Wiki article here
http://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.php?title=DIY_Remap_with_Galletto_1260

3- Can the original map be save first?
Yes

That's for Celtic Tuning to decide, but I would presume it's OK

5- Has anyone tested getting the map this way?
Not yet that I know, but don't think Celtic Tuning would offer it this way if it wouldn't work.

Probably just goes to show that their presence on the site was motivated by loss of revenue other than concern for customers engines blowing up.

Do you have a contact at a Celtic branch for me to get this map, and will they email it over?

Looks like it's the same file for a 2.2. CR-V after checking the Celtic Tuning website

Is this still going?

If so, is it a case of ringing Celtic and stumping up the cash?
Or is it done when everyone has coughed up?

£150 sounds good to me

The group buy never got anywhere mate but the price is £150 if you ring up anyway.
