17" Storms in UK - Group buy?

I have been looking into Storm Alloys. A number of posts have suggested that we can't get the 17"s in the UK but you can in Europe (Portugal - 260 euros).

Are there any further updates to this?

If not, maybe we could do a group buy to get some in the UK, share the postage out a bit!

You can get them in Southern Ireland too for about the same price - shipping would be less too I expect.

No probs - from where you are a day trip over wouldn't be out of the question either!!!! That might even be comparable to the shipping charges if your lucky!

Foot passenger (+ a trolley) from Hollyhead to Dublin would be £42. Think I'd have tired legs!

OK - I have spoke to Tom Canavan Honda in Dublin. Richard at the parts department has offered to do 17" Storm Alloys for 781 Euros (about £525) per set of 4 including VAT at 21%, if we can get a few people wanting them.

Is this a good deal & Any interest?

I presume thats without tyres?? Even so I think thats quite a good deal!

Mine were about €850 including tyres but the original alloys were taken as trade in.

You should be able to get them though a UK Honda dealer too. I was trying through my contacts, and a Honda dealer in Scotland said they could get them.
This is the part no. from the Configurator website:

They also appear ion the online brochure:

Yes, but both of those are from Belgium! You can get them in the UK you are right. Unfortunately dealers aren't very clued up on them. Apparently the part number is on the system, but without any description or picture.

BTW: Holdcroft have a set of 17" storms with tyres for £1000. Unfortunately we have since bought a 3pc suite so I am out of the running, but am willing to hand out the details if people require them!

I presume the 17" Storm would be same width as the standard 17" Type S wheel.

My dad has just ordered a Type S, but really wanted the Storm's.

If I could get the 17" Storm cheap enough we could swap the tyres over?

As far as I know the tires should fit perfectly on the Storm's.
Same Tyre size.
