07 CTR 19" Rage Alloys

First of all, yes i know it was only a £1000 upgrade when you order a new car.

But yesterday I supplied a set to a customer who couldn't wait for another two months for the car to come with the 19" rims. So he drove down from Leeds and had the new rims fitted by us. Now he is going to sell his old 18's to recoup the difference, and it will probably work out cheaper doing it this way.

So here we go!

Set of four 19" Rage alloy wheels
£950 collected

Set of four 19" Rage alloys with Bridgstone RE050 Tyres:
£1595 Fitted

Set of four 19" Rage alloys with Falken tyres
£1385

The rrp as an accessory for just the wheels is £1200, and for a full set with tyres is £2500

WOOOOW!!!!

That car looks the biz. I'd love a phat set of rims like that on my 'vic but the problems I had with the 19s on my previous car (non-honda) and the price of them led me to frequent seizures of the wallet variety.

Therefore for me, standard (at least till the missus agrees or we move house to somewhere a bit less "erm")

They will physically fit yes. But Honda only recommend going up to a 18" wheel with the standard rack.

So When You Buy A Type R It Has Had An Up Graded Rack For The 19" Wheels?? How Much Does He Want For The Std 18" Wheels? I Would Go £950 With Some Good Tyres.

I thought it was Honda policy to only sell these wheels with a Type R. What is the point in having an exclusive wheel if its then sold separately.

you can only get them as an option on the type r, but ive seen a few pattern wheels in a similar price, so this is a much cheaper option, then i wont cry as much if i curb them.

These wheels are available to buy from Honda in the accessory listings. Not just when purchasing a new Type'R.

Hi Holdcroft,

Finnaly joined the site thanks for the reccomendation

My car looks GREAT on the pictures

Thanks again for getting me the wheels

Thought id let you know I got £750 for my 18" s so I only really paid £800 for the RAGE alloys.

Theres NO point ordering them with the car at all !!!!!!

Hi Ross,

It was a pleasure. Lucky we had a wheel nut key that fit as well

Well done on getting rid of your old rims for that price .

I agree, the car does look spot on.

Gaz.

I thought the Type-S had an uprated rack over the S, SE, ES, EX etc !
Is the Type-R rack even stiffer and more substantial then ?

I must admit, the 19's tyres don't look like they give the alloy's much pot hole protection. I also expect the suspension would take some extra hammer. The UK's roads are only getting worse and never better.

They do look so nice though.....Mmmmm, Very Nice...

I have a question, as part of the dealer fitted Rages ive been told that you have a suspension adjustment too.

Is this so?

How much for the bridgestone tyres alone you mention for the Rages - and will you be able to get the Yokos that have been coming with some Rages.

I currently just have the Conti's would be interested on prices of the Bridgestones and Yokos' as they are both tyre manufacturers im used to.
