Spare Wheel

Hi,

What is your price for the Spare wheel (and kit) please, I feel I'm being taken to the cleaners by the dealer.

Regards,
Tom

Is that from Holdcroft, or your dealer? I'm looking for unfitted, as I won't use it in the UK, just Europe.

That was from my local dealer at new car time.

It came fitted (bolt through boot floor, 3 hard foam pads and plenty of the gunk they use to seal the tyre to the rim dribbling down the wheel).

Holdcroft would be a good supplier for a 'special' though.

I just won't use it all the time (as said it is purely if I get a shredder in France or wherever), so it just seems dumb to pay 100 pounds and to lose the boot space, I feel Honda could have worked it better.

£100 is the going rate.

I opted for it, purely to ensure I don't end up staranded somewhere with a gashes/shredded tyre that gunk won't fix.

I really miss the bood space, but I have got used to it now.

I do trust and have used the gunk, too. But it is a small risk not having a spare.

While we're on the subject, it may be down to the high pressure (60psi), but the space saver seems to need a fair amount of air once in a while. When I checked it a couple of days ago (the first time in 6 months, probably) it was down to 40psi. In the same time, the other tyres have only needed the odd squirt here and there.

Hi, I'd like a price for the space saver spare and kit also. Can you quote a delivered price and one for collection. Cheers

I don't worry too much as I'm sure the supplied electric pump would do the business as and if required?

I paid £100 fitted but had to wait for a month because the wheel kit was on back order due to high demand, what does that tell you !

I managed to blag Civic matts fitted at the same time for £30 by being cheeky.

Sorry chaps and chapesses, I can't budge on the price of a spacesaver. These and child seats are the two things where we in effect loose money with every sale (taking into consideration fitting costs).

Unless you are local to us, i'd advise popping along to your local dealer.
