And where is your best price, for a standard alloy + or - standard tyre, for my 2.2 diesel Type S GT, Holdcroft.
My e mail wasn't returned, so you must have received it
Or,- Should I buy from elsewhere

Weirdly enough the 2 wheels are the same price???

£350 each including VAT and delivery.

Obviously the tyre price will depend on what brand you require. Any ideas?

Gareth

PS. What email address did you send too? and when did you send it? I don't think i've received anything from you.

You could get it professionally refurbished for about £60-£80. I know there are a few places local to me that charge those sort of prices. Also the wheel will look brand new when they have finished.

Yes I've thought about a repair as long as they do a good job as cleaning it today I noticed the paint on the wheels is a metalic so wont attempt it myself, but thought of buying another wheel second hand and using the damaged one as a spare just in case of a blow out where the foam would be useless

They do make a good job, they can repair even when metal is missing. If you take it to a reputable repairer it will be like new when it's done. I thought about getting another alloy for a spare, but it won't even partially fit in the boot well. So you would need to have it just sitting in the boot taking up a lot of room.

I bought a spacesaver. I also emailed Honda to tell them I thought they would be better offering the spacesaver as an option instead of the foam and ask the customer to pay the difference. As the foam is about £40 and the spacesaver cost me £100, so given the option I personally would have preferred to have paid the extra £60 and not bother with the foam.

I know the tyre debate rages on ad infinitum, but in my experience it comes down to two:

Goodyear Eagle F1's or
Michelin Pilot Sport 2's.

Goodyear superior in the wet, Michelin better at high speed cornering.

When you get it done, if you're happy, let us know who you use. It will probably be of use to someone else in your area.
