Fifth Gear Accord Tourer Review

In last Monday's episode, 25th August, Tom Ford reviewed the new Accord Tourer.

He seemed to be very impressed with the technology on-board and the car in general but he didn't think it was sexy enough.

I think Channel 5 has it's own version of the BBC i-player if you want to watch the review, and it is worth it just to see Tom trying out the collision avoidance system, and how much a seatbelt can make a gut wobble

I have just watched it and generally there was a good review of the accord tourer. If I ever have the need for a bigger car I am getting it. I sat in the car in Leipzig this year and loved it. Fantastic car

Is a family estate meant to be sexy???

I absolutely love the new Accord, and particularly the tourer. I think Honda made what was already a great car, even better.

In regards to the anti-collision mitigation system, I know a certain site administrator who wasn't confident enough to test it out to it's full ability

Call me Chicken.

In fact, make that Mr Chicken, of Chooksville, Chickland.

But I'd have a new diesel Accord tourer in a flash (sport, in funky blue please).

I presume Mr Ford believes they are. I suppose with all the SUV type cars available now, an estate car has to try to compete with them for the family budget

At least you were trying to be discrete

I must disagree. Accord Tourer is not a family estate at all. It just look like one. When I saw it I was very disappointed. Tiny boot space, horribly folding rear seats. The previous one was much more family friendly. In my opinion Civic 5 door is much more family car than Accord Tourer.
