Question Replacing the front fog light bulbs

I have some H11 upgrade bulbs from a previous Rav4, which I noticed would fit the front fog lights on my 09 CRV. My question is has anyone done this and if so how do you remove the vent covers to gain access to the bulbs. As the car is a UK RHD the owner’s manual explains how to remove the right (looking at the front of car) hand cover which has a screw to one side, as the vent is open to provide cooling. However the left hand drivers side has no screw and is solid so there appears to be no way of opening it without removing the lower section!!

I have already upgraded the headlight bulbs and these show a marked improvement over the originals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Is it really worth the hassle, I think I've only needed the front fog lights once in about 12 months.

You maybe right, however I have changed the easy one on the passenger side and there is quiet a difference. The new bulb gives a brighter, stronger, whiter light that is much better when driving on country roads in the winter months. I have tried to change the driver's side but I think it may be a bumper off job, so as you say may not be worth the effort. Unless someone knows an easier way to replace the drivers side bulb, without taking the bumper off?

Thumbs up

OK managed to change them both this evening for anyone who is interested in upgrades or just DIY bulb change. Passenger side is easy and is explained in the owner's manual, you just pull the bulb out from the vent under the bumper. The driver side is a little more difficult but can be done without removing the bumper as explained at the bottom of this info sheet

Cheers
