CR-V EX 2007-2010. HID or not?

Been looking at various CR-V EX's for a while now but cannot find out a definative answer to whether they have HID or not.

I've seen cars with and without and i've noticed that some have the ACC/CMBS/HID/AFS acronyms after the model ref. I know that from 2010 onwards this is the ASP but i'm unsure if it was the same before hand.

Can anybody confirm what's what exactly?

I am pretty sure that the standard EX only got halogens, and the CMBS/ACC option also got you HIDs and a better trip computer / display as well.

Having said that, the Halogens on the CR-V are miles better than the HIDs on the Civic, and better than the Halogens on my Merc and Disco. They really are excellent, and not an issue at all.

I have a 2010 2.2 iDTEC EX, and that does have HIDs. I thought that all the EX models had HIDs.

Do you have the ASP?

Are you sure they are HID's and not just projector style Halogens? I know a lot of people mistake these for HID's due to the way they look.

HIDs were extra on the EX as they came with the swivel function to light up corners. Not sure if the face lifted cr-v has HIDs though.

My 2010 EX has the HID headlights as standard. There is no adjustment wheel as they are self levelling.

I have the 2009 brochure here, and HID are only on "advanced safety pack" EX cars (CMBS).

In the current brochure, HIDs are standard on all EX cars. Suspect the change came with the facelift.

They're definitely HIDs. They're very blue when initially turned on, there is no level control on the dash.
I was given a 2011 brochure by the dealer when I was buying my 2010 EX second hand, and that says HIDs are standard on all EXs. However, as has already been suggested, that may not be the case for older models.
I don't have the advanced safety pack. I guess my HIDs must have been an optional extra.

I have a 2009 EX which has HIDs and I do not have the advanced safety pack. Prior to ordering, I checked with several dealers on this area and the advice differed - I subsequently went into the showroom and checked the lights on the EX model myself and they were HIDs, and this was also confirmed by other members on this forum who have 2009 models.

Not sure of earlier 2009 models, but looks like the later models produced (prior to facelift) are fitted with HIDs. Note that this are standard beam only, and the high beam lights are rubbish in comparison so I replaced these with higher output lamps to match the HIDs.

HIDs

I have a 2007 EX with safety pack this included HIDs. I seem to remember you only got HIDs if you bought the safety pack on 07s.

Now I look at my records, my CRV was an 08 MY car. So maybe the change was 09 MY, not 10 MY.
