Fitting A Sat Nav Unit

Hello,

I'm rather tempted to have a Sat Nav unit fitted to my 56 reg (Mark II I believe) CRV. It's a sport model so it's just fitted with the basic radio/cd player now.

I thought I'd put in a normal Honda unit (if I can get hold of one at a reasonable price) as the wiring would be easier???

However the one thing I did wonder about is where the unit will get it's satellite signal from. I presume some sort of receiver will have to be fitted too.

Any thoughts gratefully welcome.

Thanks.

Yes, you'll need a GPS receiver.

Found this diagram on Lings. Not sure if that's all you need. The Civic's system is much more complicated than that lol.

Thanks for the reply, however I think it'll be far more trouble and expense than it's worth. I think I'll just go for a stand-alone unit.
