£23k for the Mugen CR-Z

If anyone hasn't seen this, looks like we'll be able to buy one in the new year:

PistonHeads Headlines - Mugen CR-Z is coming - and it'll cost £23k

I think this pretty good indication that the next Civic Type R will be supercharged too.

if your under 4ft tall its not the rear seats that is the problem its the length of the car for example if the CRZ was around 12" longer or had 12" more leg room to give to the rear seats then our CRZ would be fine rather than the deposit I paid on a FN2 last week because of this.

What I do find amazing though is how an FN2 is cheaper to insure for us than the CRZ by around 10% based on the premium I paid in Feb 2011 and the quote I have done with the same company and have £0 to pay when we swap the policy to the FN2, just goes to show how insurance companies make up figures as who in their right mind would insure a petrol head for less on a FN2 compared to a CRZ?

A bit silly of the Honda marketing guy to say it would be silly to make a 30k CRZ its not difficult to spec a GT close as it is!

I am a bit confused about the price as the Honda guy I spoke at TG Live said as a minimum you'd need the charger kit and clutch and knowing Mugen prices I recon that'll be about £6K for that kit. I wonder if the Mugen CRZ is a base model with the Mugen Parts and not the GT

Like an M200? A bit of bling but "the option" to make an M20 etc? Sounds plausible.

we like most pay monthly on cars and can say shop around for trade in values as these can vary a lot and in the end we have only lost 700 quid on our crz

I reckon the insurance group would be around the Type R region, which we youngins would be stupid to pay for
The article doesn't specifically say what models it's priced, so I'm assuming the 23k is the for the base... possibly 28k for the GT! Get an FT86 instead haha

not so sure on this as swapping to an FN2 and the insurance is cheaper for the FN2 than the CRZ, does not make sense but wont complain
