We previously brought you the 20-year old Honda CRX capable of close to 50 mpg on the highway - and now’s your chance to pick one up. Found on eBay is this 1985 example of the meager CRX HF hatchback, currently listed for a paltry $500.
Sure, the 308,000 miles on the clock are a bit high, but the seller claims the car still runs well. We’re impressed with the overall condition of the CRX. Albeit there is some damage to the front nose piece and the driver’s front fender, the majority of the car - including the ground effects, trim and alloy wheels - are original and appear to be in good shape. More impressive is the interior, which looks clean and complete, if not kitschy in that particular shade of blue.
If you’re looking for a vintage piece of Honda hardware that can return some impressive fuel economy numbers in return, this just may be the CRX you’ve been looking for.
