Honda to Bring Modulo Civic Type-R to Tokyo Auto Salon

Honda is preparing some of its finest tuned concepts for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon, including this Civic Type-R prepared by Modulo.
The track-weapon style Civic has been fitted with a revised suspension, a totally new body kit, and 19-inch Modulo 10-spoke wheels. It has also got a checkered paintjob that is supposed to evoke a motorsport feeling, but looks, at best, a bit cheesy.

The car is far cooler than its outward appearance would suggest though, with a cabin that would make any red-blooded driver want to dive into the nearest corner. Honda has fitted some carbon-fiber panels to replace the stock items, adding a set of Recaro seats, and a racing steering wheel as well.
The modifications have helped to create a lighter more track-focused Type-R, and one that we certainly wouldn’t mind getting a little seat time in. Paintjob be damned.
