There is an easier way to do it by buing a Cold catode computer neon light colored blue and taking some power from the glove compartment and it al works fine,
And by the way i dont like that much blue light at the feet and the way to dim the neons is to cover part of them with black electronic tape and see how much light fits your eyes...
the neons are quite cheap, maybe 10$ max at yor local computer shop,no heat and low power consumption...and you get wide angle of blue lighting and not spot like Leds....
will share pictures of my setup if needed.
Cheers.

Tell me if i'm making this sound more difficult than it actually is but can someone please post more detail on how they've run the wires from the glovebox light hole to the footwells (pics 12,13 & 14 aren't much use).

Cheers. FG.

If you remove the instrument left panel (12 - 14) and the glove box light (7 & you should be able to see how to feed the wire thru. It's really straight forward. I used a piece of wire to poke it thru from the removed panel to where the hole for the GB light is. I then fed the other end of the wire down to the footwell floor.

OK, My bad... I was struggling to get my head round where the end panel was duhhhhh

The problem I have now is that due to some nimble finger work I've managed to release the retention cable into the freedom of the dash cavity duhhhh x 2

Anyone got a smart way of retreaving it?

Hi!

I installed my Ambient Lighting today. (3 Superflux LEDs at each side)
Took me about 1/2 hour!

Thank you very much - tamar !!!!

But I have to add that it is not necessary to detach the glove box door.
You could do so if you have big hands/fingers .

Kind regards from Germany,

Are the footwell lights constantly on while driving at night? or only on when you open the doors?

No your warranty will be ok. I have had warranty work done with no problems.

They are on when the lights are on only. It does not matter if the doors are open or closed. If you put in a switch like I did then you can have them off at certain times.
